Clywedog Science Workshops – Ysgol Penygelli

The year 6 children at Ysgol Penygelli thoroughly enjoyed the three session workshops that Ysgol Clywedog provided over the autumn term. All the activities were fun and engaging whilst also challenging. Students learnt about the world around us and the universe above. Throughout the sessions the students were enthralled, and the content covered enabled them to ask profound and intriguing questions. As part of the activity’s students were grouped, so the less able were supported and encouraged to take part. The activities were well thought out and followed a similar line to our new scheme of work. The virtual reality goggles were a huge success and really captured the interest of all the pupils involved; The children were talking about that this lesson the following week.
Everyone at Ysgol Penygelli are looking forward to other workshops in the near future and to enhance our relationship with Clywedog.
