Eisteddfod Ysgol Clywedog 2018

Year 7 pupils enjoyed celebrating St. David’s day on the 1st of March by taking part in the school’s eisteddfod. It was a pleasure to see lots of talents being displayed.

A variety of performances were enjoyed including Welsh recitation, French recitation, Drama sketches, Singing and instrumental.

Lots of certificates were handed out for both on and off stage competitions. Medals were awarded to Eloise Morgan and Lily Buckley for their contributions, to Aaron Purnell as the highest scoring boy and to Kirsty Amarakoon as the highest scoring girl.

Congratulations to 7D who were the overall winners on the day. Da iawn pawb!

Outstanding effort from our Year 7 students at the Wales Climate and Nature Youth Festival. There will be more opportunities for the school to get involved with from September.

In less than 3 weeks a group of Ysgol Clywedog pupils will be heading over to Tanzania for a 4 week expedition to work with local communities. They are doing a last push fund raiser and you could WIN £100!
