North Wales Police are currently recruiting into  their Volunteer Police Cadet Unit at Yale College where they currently have space for new recruits.

‘We appreciate the issues with Covid19 have tasked us all to work in new and different ways, can I please ask you to consider helping us to promote the recruitment to your pupils who would be eligible to apply.

Applications are being sought from those aged 13 to 15 ½ in September 2020, the closing date for applications is July 10th

Volunteer Police Cadets are a diverse group of young people aged 13-18, who have a joint desire to support their local communities and gain a practical understanding of policing.

Units meet at local college venues once a week and are led by police officers, police staff and volunteers.
In addition, cadets develop their leadership skills by undertaking challenging social action projects in their communities, with an expectation that they will volunteer three hours a month.

These projects include activities such as supporting older members of the community in understanding cyber-crime, fundraising for charities and road safety campaigns.

We welcome cadets from any background, social group, gender, ethnicity, ability/disability and whether they have an interest in the police or not.’
