Education in Wales is changing, the following video provides a brief insight into the reasons for these changes and what you can expect:
A new curriculum (Curriculum for Wales) has already been introduced to years 1 to 6.
At Ysgol Clywedog we are working towards full implementation of our new curriculum over the coming years.
Our teachers have been working in collaboration to develop a curriculum that allows our learners to be ambitious and creative, to make ethical and healthy decisions and to be effective citizens of Wales and the World.
At the moment, we are reviewing our Year 7 and 8 provision and would value your input into the changes.
We have sent out a questionnaire to all parents via Google Forms about the current curriculum and about what you would like to see being taught. You may not be able to answer all of the questions but we value your input into any aspect that you feel you can comment on.
The Welsh Government have provided these short guides to help explain what the Curriculum for Wales will look like:
Parent / Carers Guide
A young persons guide to the new curriculum for wales
Once we have gathered feedback from pupils, parents and staff we will share further details on how the curriculum will be developing over the coming years.
