Future engineers building bridges

As part of activities week last week, students were set the challenge to design and build a bridge that could support the largest weight. The winning team Francis, Skye and Luke from Form 7W created their bridge of just A4 paper, straws and sellotape and managed to support a force of 19N (1.9kg). They are pictured with the bridge design and their prizes – a trophy and a packet of sweets each.
