Iceland Trip

Category : Events

A group of students had an exceiting trip to Iceland over the half term break. They started with a Reykjavik sightseeing tour which included the Pearlan Centre, Reykjavík City Hall, Hallgrímskirkja church, the city centre and Laugardalur valley.

The following Golden Circle Day included some of Iceland’s most stunning sights including the Thingvellir National Park, Gullfloss waterfall, the Geysir Center, Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre and Kerið Crater. This was an amazing opportunity to see some of the Earth’s natural wonders up close.

The tour then took a drive along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country’s most scenic regions. Along the way they visited the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the Skógar Waterfall, the Sólheimajökull Glacier, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and the small town of Vík.

A great time was had by all, and a big thank you goes to the staff who organised and took the students on the trip.
