Phoenix Project 2017
Category : Events
Last week, six year 9 students attended the Phoenix Project conducted by Chirk Fire and Rescue Service. Over 5 days, the students engaged in fire service activities such as hose running drills, fighting fires and search and rescue. By the end of the week, the students had gained a unique insight into the role of a fire-fighter but also skills useful for everyday life and potential employment.
The week culminated in a fire fighting display and presentation of certificates. Well done to all those students involved: Morgan, Sami, Liam, Josh, Kianna and Lucy.
